About Moki

What an exciting yet hectic year  this has been!

I decided to start the Moki Swimwear  business last June with the aim to have our first ever range online and in  Stores by October 2009.
It was madness during that short  period trying to get our first ever range out by our October deadline, but I’m  proud to say we did it!
In those 3 months we were able to  hand make over 5,000 garments, have them packaged, photographed and modelled in  time for our Debut Moki 2009 Launch.
My 3 children didn’t get to spend  much time with me during that period, but they too were excited by all the hype  and hysteria & willingly offered to help me package and label whatever they  could.  In the end we did it together and  the result was overwhelming, and the response from the public was fantastic.

This year we had a little more time  to prepare for our second range from Moki, so I went overseas with my design  sketches and researched the trends, as well as sourced the accessories &  little extras that would compliment and add to our intended range.  Again the final result of this 2011  collection is amazing!!

This 2011 theme has enabled us to  extend our range considerably & I am thrilled to announce we have over 140  different products.

During this great adventure, we have  been careful to listen closely to the feedback from our customers, and gather  their thoughts on our complete range.
As a result of that feedback, we  have introduced Long Sleeve Rash Tops, Garments in Size 1, Sun Hats & Kaftan’s to match  & compliment the swimwear.

In the future, we will be  introducing further products & styles throughout the year, not just once a  year in time for Summer.

The 2011 range was inspired by the  sweet things that children love ~Ice-creams (Gelati Swirl range) &  Candy.  From this concept, we were able  to develop a colour palete that carries through our bright coloured theme.  All garments within the entire 2011 range are  designed by me personally, using only the very best quality in fabric’s &  accessories.

We are now registered as an  Australian Owned, Australian Made Business.
So we can proudly advertise our  products with the Australian Made Logo.   All products on the website that have this logo, are handmade from start  to finish right here at our warehouse in Melbourne.
